Relate It

Relate it!

Information about business relationships that you can really use

Instead of storing data in silos (e.g Accounts, Contacts, Partners etc) like traditional systems, SALESROAD relates information in context.

Organizations are not intrinsically accounts or partners any more than people are intrinsically contacts or employees. Those expressions simply define your relationship(s) with them, which is how SALESROAD lets you see things.

And relationships are of course fluid; an employee one day may be your customer the next and a customer may become a partner, a competitor, a supplier or all three. Instead of deleting and creating records to reflect those changes, enter the person or organization once and then simply Relate it! (or unrelate it) to reflect the current reality.

For example, if ABC Ltd is both a customer and a competitor, enter it once into SALESROAD and then Relate it! as both a Customer of and as a Competitor of your organization. Then if the relationship changes, simply add or remove the relevant Relationships with a few mouse clicks.

Two-way Context-sensitive Relationships

Relationships in SALESROAD are two-way and context-sensitive, which is much more effective way of putting things into context than say adding notes or comments in records or using ‘dumb’ (no context) links. Relating two people as referred by, friend of, advisor to or reports to etc is far more meaningful than simply linking them with no context.

And SALESROAD Relationships are two-way. For example, when you relate Mary as referred by John, SALESROAD automatically creates the reciprocal John referred Mary relationship.

Automatic reciprocal linking is a unique feature of SALESROAD.

You can relate anything or anyone to anything or anyone else to create a network of relationships…think of it as a relationship road map.

Eliminate Duplication

Duplication is inherent in traditional systems e.g. if Mary is a Director of ABC Ltd and XYZ Inc, she would be two different contacts in any other system, but in SALESROAD she is a single person related to two roles…just like in the real world. Any two objects may be related by any number of Relationships.

By eliminating duplication you also achieve the ‘single view’ e.g. of a customer, a person or whatever. Literally everything about anything or anyone can be accessed from one place, eliminating the risk of conflicting and confusing data distributed in different places (records). …another unique feature of SALESROAD

Flexible, Fast and Friendly

Define the types of Relationships that suit your business; creating new types takes only seconds and requires no programming. Applying them to objects is a matter of a few mouse clicks…view object A, select a relationship, then nominate object B and they’re related!

Information Access

Relating information provides a level of access and insight not possible in traditional systems, as about how you intend using information e.g. in reports, typically need to be made when you first set up a system, prior to entering data. In SALESROAD however relationships can be created at any time, enabling new and critical perspectives that may not have been anticipated. For example, you need to know the revenue generated from Mary’s referrals. To do that, simply relate Mary to the people she referred, then produce your report.
